One of employees in CodiLime, Polish software engineering services company, as a result of his contribution to the development of open source software, was awarded the prestigious Developer of the Month title in the OpenContrail community.
CodiLime, except for numerous projects for its clients, is also engaged in the development of open source software, whose main feature is open code, the possibility to adjust it to one’s needs and cooperation with programmers from all over the world. One of the Project Managers – Bartłomiej Wołowiec, currently works on the OpenContrail project, where he was chosen the Developer of the Month among the international community of computer scientists engaged in the development of the program. This title is a great distinction for people associated with OpenContrail and proves the significant contribution to the improvement and development of the code by the programmer.
OpenContrail is a project whose aim is network virtualization, automation of delivering the network services and making network software independent from the hardware. This software works with other standards and products already existing in the market, and can be used in networks, where the elasticity is crucial, e.g. in data centers offering network services and infrastructure in the form of cloud computing. The task of Bartłomiej Wołowiec is to implement an algorithm that improves the stability of the network.
