CodiLime and Altera to Showcase FPGA ML-based Security Solution at Altera Innovators Day

At this year's Altera Innovators Day      link-icon, on September 23, in San Jose, CA, a cutting-edge solution developed in collaboration between Altera and CodiLime will be showcased. The solution highlights the integration of machine learning (ML) with FPGA technology for advanced network security.

The demoed solution features an ML model designed to detect SYN Flood attacks. The model has been processed and synthesized into a format that FPGA hardware can understand and execute.

CodiLime's contribution focused on developing and integrating the ML model with the FPGA platform. Altera established infrastructure, including FPGA-encoded logic, to sample network traffic and pass critical metrics to the model, enabling real-time security insights.

"This solution demonstrates the potential of combining ML and FPGA technologies to enhance network security and performance. It results from a long-lasting collaboration between CodiLime and Altera, which we are really proud of," said Krzysztof Wróbel, Director of Engineering at CodiLime.

Don't miss this exciting “Real-Time Detection of SYN-Flood attacks using ML and P4” demo at Altera Innovators Day. Visit Altera's stand to see the demo and ask the team questions, including Tomasz Janaszka, ML solution architect at CodiLime, and Mirosław Walukiewicz, Principal Engineer at Altera.
